Sniff... Sniff... The smell of Chinese New Year! :)
The street outside my house is lighted with those colouful lights and lanterns, so is the park nearby! :) The smell of Chinese New Year is indeed round the corner!
School has started once again, new faces in tutorials, interesting lecturers and tutors this sem. Boron is read as Boring, 9 is written as p, etc, etc... Tutorials these sem has a class that is filled with loners and clique, sadly, not as bonded as last sem... :( Well, many of my friends across schools were disappointed that we don't get to stick as a class even for at least a year will also be good... :( Oh well, we must all learn to adapt to change quickly right? :) That's part of life.
TC session hasn't really started, though we have so far been to AJ for their Wushu day and me and D kind of gatecrashed TC's welcome back event. Finally gotten our foc shirt. Sadly, its the old version... I kind of like the white outline one better, hmm, nvm, we can go around and act like 'old birds'. :P
YEAH! SYOG is getting closer and closer! :) Finally gotten my post and trainings has started. :) Hopefully I can really be a volunteer at SYOG!!! :)
Looking at Chinese New Year, it doesn't seem to have much change every year. Not the going around visiting friends and relatives, but after CNY would mean lots of test and CAs. Haiz, it has been this way for sooo many years since young. Since pri sch days, teachers would even be so kind enough to worry that we have nothing to do over the CNY hols and give us hw. As we go higher, they assign test the day or even the week right after CNY for test, big and small. Should I say we have caring teachers or should I say we are such a academically driven society?
Putting that aside, this year's new year decorations in my house aren't up yet. We learnt from last year that the decorations prices can drop like 100-200% within a day! So since we can't really reuse the same stuff every year, so lets just wait for them to drop the price and buy? :P
Here's wishing everyone a early happy Chinese New Year, and to non-chinese, Happy holidays! :D
